The Story

Founded in 2018, Flor de Imbuia's shows feature a dialogue between the rabeca and sanfona, two foundational instruments of forró, accompanied by percussion that explores Northeastern Brazilian rhythms, shaping the band's sonic identity.

An all-female band, their repertoire prioritizes female composers and lyrics that celebrate the feminine.

In 2021, they released their debut album, "Cantos de Pisar o chão," featuring compositions that blend Northeastern Brazilian rhythmic and poetic influences with contemporary elements. The album is available on all digital platforms.

In 2022, the band performed for the second time at São João do Vale do Capão and opened the final night of Arraiá de Vitória da Conquista, sharing the stage with artists such as Lucy Alves.

In 2023, they performed at venues such as São João do Centro Histórico (Salvador-BA), the traditional Forró dos Bancários, Ssa Boa Praça, the Komboza festival, and for the second consecutive year at Arraiá de Vitória da Conquista, opening for Santana, o Cantador. They also recorded an audiovisual project with Colaboraê, titled Colaboraê Session, releasing another original composition, which is available on streaming platforms.

To celebrate the band's 5th anniversary, they embarked on a mini-tour in São Paulo in August 2023, sharing stages with bands Pé de Manacá, Fuá do Guegué, and Thaís Nogueira.
