About the Event
FAZ NA PRAÇA - BRAZILIAN FOLK CULTURE. This event, held at Praça Saenz Peña, is a tribute to the vibrant popular culture of Brazil's squares, festivals, and streets. For 12 years, our collective has been fostering dances, parties, quadrilhas (folk dances), beliefs, visual arts, and community gatherings in Tijuca.
This time, our quadrilha brings together popular festivities from across the country, featuring exchanges with Folia de Reis, Capoeira, Carimbó, Coco, Piseiro, Roda de Tambores, Boi do Maranhão, and much more!
The event takes place outdoors, for free, at Praça Saenz Peña, surrounded by the lush beauty of the Tijuca Massif, bringing together smiles and ancestral knowledge. It offers programming for all ages, with parties and workshops, celebrating the right to free street culture through the art of coming together.
