DJ Cassio Sá

Cássio Sá is a Rio-based DJ, musician, vinyl selector, and cultural producer with 27 years of experience and international recognition. He lived in Portugal between 2018 and 2023, where he established himself as an ambassador of Brazilian music and was the inaugural DJ for projects like Forró no Porto and Samba no Porto.

He began his musical journey in 1999 as a percussionist for Banda Domquixote, a band with strong ties to forró. This foundation shaped his signature sound and his organic, precise mixes. Since 2017, he has professionally dedicated himself to vinyl DJing, with a curation approach rooted in research and authenticity. A collector since his teenage years, he owns over 1,000 LPs, spanning Brazilian music, rock, afrobeat, soul, and global grooves.

The creator of the Rock You (vinyl rock) and Afrobeat-se! parties, he opened for Natiruts and Teto in Portugal, further expanding his international profile.

Returning to Brazil in 2023, he resided in Brasília for two years, playing at the capital's main venues. In 2025, he returns to Rio de Janeiro, strengthening the local vinyl culture scene while also catering to various events in digital format.

He is one of the co-founders of Forró pra Juventude, a pioneering collective of vinyl forró DJs in Rio, reaffirming his commitment to tradition, innovation, and Brazilian music on the dancefloors.
