Alceu Valença, from São Bento do Una in Pernambuco, is one of the most inventive and multifaceted artists in Brazilian music, with a strong influence on forró. Transiting between rock, frevo, and baião, his work incorporates elements of Northeastern Brazilian popular culture, creating a unique and unmistakable sound. Although not limited to traditional forró, Alceu drew inspiration from Luiz Gonzaga and Jackson do Pandeiro, reinterpreting Northeastern rhythms in songs like "La Belle de Jour", "Tropicana", and "Anunciação". His performances are marked by contagious energy and lyrics that celebrate the identity and landscape of the Northeast.
